My Story
Hi, I’m Vera — founder of Vera Boutique Australia, and proud mother to my beautiful daughter, Anna.
For nearly 29 years, this boutique has been my passion, my livelihood, and in many ways, my second home. It began as a small dream — a single mother’s vision to build something meaningful for herself and her child. Over time, it became so much more than a store. It became a community.
When I first opened Vera Boutique, I wanted to create a place where women could feel confident, seen, and celebrated — no matter their age, shape, or story. I poured my heart into every collection, every stitch, every customer interaction. Many of you became friends, and some even family. Watching women walk out of the boutique standing a little taller, smiling a little wider — that’s what kept me going all these years.
But earlier this year, life took an unexpected turn. My daughter, Anna, was diagnosed with a serious health condition. Suddenly, my world shifted. The long days at the shop, the endless planning, the excitement of each new season — they all had to make room for what truly matters most: her.
It wasn’t an easy decision, but I knew in my heart it was time to close this chapter. Anna needs more of me — and that’s something I’ll give without hesitation.
